Shipping Options

\r\nHere at Memories Forever by Advanced Media we take shipping very seriously and you should too. Shipping, while extremely convenient, carries a certain risk with it. There is always a risk of a package getting lost in the mail. If you want proof, go ahead and check some of the Yelp reviews of some of our competitors. Therefore, before you consider shipping, please consider the risk. At the same time, we completely understand that it may be impossible for you to visit our facility and that shipping may be your only option, so let’s explore the best shipping strategies.

#1 - CARRIER

We strongly recommend that you use a private shipping carrier such as FedEx or UPS, but it could be any established carrier you trust and are comfortable with. Some other options to choose are GSO, OnTrac and others. When you use a private carrier, you are already well ahead of the curve when it comes to protecting your memories. No matter which carrier you use, be sure to add a tracking feature. Never ship without tracking. Consider some of these tips:\r\n

 

    • FedEx Ground is a low cost option, similar to UPS. You can ship FedEx Ground for most FedEx locations.
    • If you choose to insure your content, please be aware that should a dispute or loss occur, the carrier will only reimburse you for the cost of the actual physical media, not the perceived loss of content.

 

    • If your package does not arrive on the time promised, in many cases you should be entitled to a full refund by the carrier.

 

#2 – PACKING

Use sufficient ½” bubble wrap and get a sturdy box and tape is very well. A given package going through the delivery line may be subject to blunt force, heavy pressure and slippage. In the shipping industry, it is common to expect a 5 feet drop and prepare the package so that it can withstand it. Don’t take any chances. Once it leaves your hands, it is out of your control.

#3 – GPS TRACKING

If you want to take the next level of package protection, consider using a mobile GPS tracking device. Many are available today for an affordable price, and can be used for many other productive purposes even after you get your media preserved with us. Alternatively, we can also provide a GPS tracker for an additional cost, which you can add during checkout.

#4 – WE SEND YOU A BOX

We do offer the option of sending you a heavy duty 275 LBS resistant box, equipped with shock absorbing foam and water leak proof bags, as well as pre-paid shipping label back to us, for your convenience. For an additional cost, you can include our GPS tracking device. You can add these options when you get to the shipping area in checkout. Please remember that Advanced Media is not liable for any materials outside our premises, and that by shipping to us and/or receiving from us, you solely assume the entirety of any risk of lost, stolen, damaged, delayed and/or any other type of loss that may occur to your materials and/or while in transit and/or under the care of any mail and/or shipping courier, in either direction. By choosing a trusted carrier, packing well and even using a GPS tracker.
